This Privacy Policy explains how FableKnot (we, us) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use fableknot.in.

Information we collect

We collect the details you provide, such as your name, mobile number, email, and wedding preferences, and information generated as you use the site, such as the vendors and venues you view and the purchases you make.

Your phone number and sign-in

Your phone number is more than a contact detail. Signing in with a WhatsApp one-time code creates your FableKnot account, so your phone number is your account identity on the site, not just a way for us to reach you. Keep it up to date so you don't lose access to your saved items, purchases, and Dreamboard.

How we use your information

We use your information to deliver our services, such as vendor and venue discovery and the reports you purchase, to communicate with you over WhatsApp and email with your consent, to process payments, and to improve the product.

Analytics and cookies

We record basic browsing activity as you use the site, such as the pages you visit and the vendors and venues you look at. This is tied to an anonymous device identifier and, once you sign in, to your account, so we can understand what couples are looking for and improve the site. We do not sell this data to anyone.

Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card details; they are handled directly by the payment provider.

WhatsApp communication

With your consent, we use WhatsApp to send one-time sign-in codes, order confirmations, and purchased documents. You can opt out at any time by contacting us.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in MongoDB Atlas, and documents such as purchased venue guides are stored in Cloudflare R2. The site is hosted on Vercel. These providers may process your data on servers outside India in the course of storing and delivering it to you.

Data retention and your rights

We keep your data only as long as needed to provide our services. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us at fableknot.global@gmail.com.

Grievance officer
